I've always been collecting French tin clocks most of which were made in the early 1920s and 30's and were very popular as
they were usually very colourful.
Many had printed floral design but this one is quite different which makes it special.
It has a chinoiserie design which I have not seen before, maybe there is some influence from Vietnam when it was a French colony.
Its flared sides make it really impressive on the wall and although it is antique I can see it working very well in a modern decor.
It has a wind up mechanical movement which works but if you would prefer I can fit a concealed quartz movement to the original hands to save winding it up.
However collectors may wish to keep it in its original condition.
