Sunburst clocks were a popular feature in house decoration in the Art Deco period of the 1930's.
After the war British design adapted this popular style to fit in with the mid century moderm Eames style furniture.
The Birminhan firm Anstey and Wilson produced this clock which has become a modern day icon of that period.
The smooth teak wood 'sunbursts' harmonize with the bold Roman numeral brass dial protected by a brass bezel and glass.
It is fitted with its original early quartz movement and 'C' battery.
This is an all original clock in excellent condition.
