Probably the nicest clock I have had for a number of years. This is a late 19th century French Turret Clock Dial and what makes it of interest are the seperate enamel Cartouche Roman Numerals set into the zinc metal frame.
These dials tended to be on important buildings and because they were enamel could easily be damaged. Turret Clocks later were made of flat iron dials which were then painted with numbers. Thats why this dial is rare. We have made period style hands and fitted them to a heavy duty quartz movement so the clock will keep perfect timing. They are often very expensive on major websites and I've priced this so that it is affordable.
