This octagonal wall clock had an electric motor dating from the 1930's (no longer serviceable) and would have been found perhaps in a factory or office rather than in a home. It was made by "Lepaute", an oustandting name in French horology, a company that began in the 18th Century and still retained its prominence for clock making way into the 20th Century always with a keen accent on design. We have fitted a quartz movement to the original hands and painted the industrial grey case a fresh pale blue to give it a contemporary feel. while retaining all its interesting original features.
