Round tin clocks like this known as "tole" in French were very popular in the 1930's. Found in many homes they had a wind-up movement known as tic-tacs, because of the rhythmic sound they made. We have restored the original movement, as it was in pretty good condition. Although the time-keeping is not as accurate as any quartz movement, it still gives you the pleasure of winding it up each week and keeping it original. We re-painted the rather somber brown case to now a slightly distressed fresh off-white.
