A superb example of a French wall clock by Lepaute. This company began in the 18th century making equisite clocks and maintained its reputation right up to the late 20th century adjusting from mechanical clock to electric clocks like this one from the 1970s. Now converted with a modern quartz movement giving perfect timing. Note the orginal distintive hands used by Lepaute. Probably coming from a smart Parisan office, judging by its excellent condition.
