In the 1930's the French made many tin clock for bars and bistros as well as for domestic use. Known as Tole Clocks they had cheap mechanical movements, which are now unreliable and we have replaced them with a modern quartz movement so that the clock will run for two years at least on a good AA battery. They make very attractive kitchen clocks with their echoes of France in 1930's.
