LARGE TURRET CLOCK This is a beautifully distressed English turret clock in its original blue paint which has faded over time. The rich gold roman numerals have also faded over time. We've made traditional hands and fitted them to a heavy duty quartz movement so that the clock is fully functioning. This exterior dial and a similar one were replaced recently by a firm that installs turret clocks so we were thrilled to be able to buy these old original dials which will find a new home indoors rather than outdoors, We don't think you could find a more shabby chic but at the same time elegant wall clock. LARGE TURRET CLOCK A most unusual wall clock as the convex dial is copper. It has aged for at least 100 years and was originally an external clock dial, almost certainly English, which we have mounted into a beautifully shaped antique wooden frame. We have left the numbers just as they were as it adds to the overall character of the piece. The natural ageing of the copper to a mottled brown perfectly compliments the surround. Again this is a unique piece and fully functioning with a high torque movementy. LARGE ANTIQUE SQUARE TURRET CLOCK DIAL Square dials of this size are far less common and can look impressive either hung on the wall using the purpose made bracket or allowed to lean againt the wall or in the corner of a large room. LARGE 19th CENTURY FRENCH TURRET CLOCK A beautifully aged turret clock dial with original trident shaped hands. The dial comes from Picardy in northern France Circa 1890. This sheet enamel dial mounted on to a wooden back are not easy to find anymore and the distressing only adds to its charm. Replica hands are being made in the same style of these originals so the same clock will function perfectly. EXTRA LARGE TURRET CLOCK Just photographed as it has come in but would obviously be mounted on the wall as a completely square clock. 19th Century square turret clock so large that it was made in two halves of copper sheet then painted with gold roman numerals on a black chapter ring against a beautifully faded green background. It has been left completely untouched with gives it charm. The antique hands are too heavy to function as a working clock but we could make replica hands and fit them to a heavy duty quartz movement if required. There would be an additional charge for this. FRENCH ANTIQUE TURRET CLOCK This style would have graced the tower of some major buiding in France around 1900. This iron dial has gold roman numerals on a black background and a blood red centre which now gives it its dramatic quality. We have made hands in the original style so that the clock will work conveniently and accurately with a high torque quartz movement and a simple AA battery. We should stress that we know of no other company that can make these antique style replica hands of this size to work with a quartz movement. ENGLISH ANTIQUE 2 SIDED CLOCK This impressive clock with its fine iron scroll work decoration would have been outside some shop telling the time for passers by on two sides. It would have been fixed to the wall from the sturdy iron bracket shown on the right hand side. We have replaced the electric motors with modern day quartz for perfect timing. It is now best used indoors as a main decorative feature. Perfect for a restaurant or bar now that it has a trouble free quartz movement for both dials. The dial dates from around 1890 and is made from genuine lava stone with the dial itself baked on in enamel to protect it from the weather when it was fitted to an outdoor clock. ANTIQUE TURRET CLOCK DIAL Here is a convex English turret clock dial. Dating from the 19th Century this would have been on a square clock tower probably with three other similar ones. We rescued three of them, one of which is now sold and the other is shown above reference EL/104. It is a very convenient size to have now hanging inside and the brownish paint over the copper dial has weathered over time and gives it great character. FRENCH POST MODERNIST WALL CLOCK Here is a really interesting clock made by LePaute who speciallised in electric clocks for high-end offices in the 1960's / 70's. There is always a very strong design element in clocks by this maker and this is no exception. The hands are quite unlike any other clock style with a slim minute hand a sturdier tapered hour hand. The numerals are plastic discs in black and light blue and stand proud of the cream textured dial with the Le Paute name mounted proud of the dial.
