LARGE INDUSTRIAL CLOCK
We have never had this clock before made in the 1950's or thereabouts by MAGNETA an English Clock Company specialising in electric clocks for industry. The crisp black arabic numerals and the dotted minute track are raised from the clear white perspex dial which is protected by glass fitted to the grey metal rim. You rarely find clocks of this size with the hands protected by glass. A stunning piece. We have now converted it with a high torque quartz movement for perfect time-keeping.

LARGE ANTIQUE TURRET CLOCK
A very unusual metal clock dial from the 1950's with applied white
chevron numerals and oblong minute markers. We have made the
hands in the style that compliments the dial and fitted a heavy duty
quartz movement to them for perfect timing. Will look fantastic in a
modern setting. Origin probably Swiss or German.
Price also includes the original hands if required.

POST MODERN WALL CLOCK
The attraction of this clock is its paired down simplicity. A slim metal rim encasing a white perspex dial with arabic numerals in a 1960's typeface. We have replaced the original redundant electric movement with a high torque quartz for perfect timing. The size of the clock and it's simple graphics make a a strong impact when mounted on the wall. ATO is the name of the original French clock manufacturer.

ART DECO WALL CLOCK
This is a French metal cased wall clock that would have originally hung outside and was powered electrically. It will now find a home on some spacious wall where its octagonal shape and art deco appearance will make it stand out.
We have now fitted it with a modern high torque movement for convenience of perfect timekeeping. This is a very heavy clock and will need a sound wall to hold it in place.

LARGE ANTIQUE TURRET CLOCK
Probably would have adorned a large public building somewhere in France anytime around 1880.
These dials are rare because each Roman numeral is a seperate enamel segment. These are called cartouche numerals fired at 800 degrees on copper sheet.
Later the sheet iron dial was introduced like the one on the right because it was less expensive to produce. The clock has its original hands which can be substituted for replica ones which we then fit to a high torque quartz movement.
This is only the second enamel dial we have had in the last 5 years.

LARGE ANTIQUE TURRET CLOCK
A bold iron clock face with black Roman numerals (distressed) on a similarly distressed off white background. Probably French or German and dating from 1890 this dial will draw attention to itself either hanging on the wall or standing in a corner of a room.
The clock can be converted with a high torque quartz movement and replica hands so it will work perfectly as a timekeeper or you can have it simply as a decorative item.

GIANT ANTIQUE TURRET CLOCK
This is the biggest clock we have ever had. you can just imagine when it was high up on a big public building how easy it would have been to read the time. This clock deserves a very special place as a focal point in a large hotel lobby or entrance to an important office building. The original hands would have been driven by a massive turret clock movement and now function purely decoratively. A unique clock dial. It's very unlikely we will ever get enough square dial of this scale.

LARGE ANTIQUE SQUARE TURRET CLOCK DIAL
Square dials of this size are far less common and can look impressive either hung on the wall using the purpose made bracket or allowed to lean againt the wall or in the corner of a large room. This clock has its original hands but we would need to make replica hands in lightweight material if you would want it be working with a heavy duty quartz movement.

LARGE METAL CASED WALL CLOCK
Clocks this size are rare in themselves and even better when the name 'Smiths' appears on the dial. Smiths was the UK's premier clock manufacturer for over a 100 years until the 1960's. They made both domestic and industrial clocks and this is a great example of an industrial clock that looks as though it could have come straight out of somewhere like a fire station.
Circa 1940/50's
Originally electric. Now fitted with a high precision quartz movement.

LARGE ART DECO TURRET CLOCK
The Neutral colours of this clock will fit into any modern decor. Its simple arabic numerals on the slightly distressed white background give it a perfectly understated look. This has been in our own office for 5 years and is only now being offered for sale.
The original defunct motor has been replaced (as on all our antique turret clock dials) by a quality high torque movement and powered by 1 x AA battery which only needs replacing every 1-2 years.

CLASSIC ENGLISH WALL CLOCK
An imposing wall clock with an antique dial and hands now fitted with a quartz movement. Must have been in a Brighton shop in St. James's street as shown by the name G.Slydel & Sons. The scale of the clock is accentuated by the wooden back box that sets it 12cm off the wall.
Perfect for a large wall and now needs no winding as we have fitted a high precision quartz movement to the original hands and dial.

ANTIQUE TURRET DIAL
An outstanding, beautifully aged antique turret clock dial in metal mounted onto board. My own favourite at the moment. Fitted with it's original hands the dial is signed BOREL, PARIS, a noted French clockmaker of the 19th century commissioned to make clocks for important public buildings. Reputed to have made the cathedral clock in St. Johns New founderland.
Needs to be hung on a wall with no other distractions nearby.

RARE FRENCH TWO SIDED CLOCK
If you have the place for this 19th French Century double faced clock you're sure it will be admired. Made by famous clockmaker Paul Garnier of Paris this iron cased exterior clock has been made to work again with modern quartz movements and is best mounted inside or left as shown in the photo on some piece of furniture or stand where both sides will be visible. This is a very unusual piece and the only one I have ever had.

SMITHS ELECTRIC WALL CLOCK
These clocks are hard to find nowadays and would have been in some public space or in a factory anytime from the 1930's - 1960's. It is perfect for a modern restaurant or a comtemporary kitchen which has sufficient space. It has its original electric movement powered by the mains or could be converted to a high torque quartz movement if required. The writing on the dial says 'English Clock Systems' London.

MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK
An exceptionally fine mahogany 8 day longcase by 'Thomas Pocock' of London. Circa 1770. Brass arched dial with strike / silent mechanism, subsidiary seconds dial & aperture and makers' name on a plaque above the date aperture. The dial has a sivered chapter ring with Roman numerals and a minute track with arabic 5 minute markers. Blued steel hands. The case is veneered in rich figured mahogany with a long trunk door. The base has a fielded panel and double plinth. The clock is original in all material respects and fully overhauled.
A good investment at this time as London longcase clocks of this period are rare to find and not always in such good condition as this.

Originally this iron dial was high up on some public building in France around 1900. It would have been powered by a gigantic movement with weights and pendulum long since seperated from the dial. we have made lightweight replica hands to fit a high torque quartz movement that ensures perfect time keeping.

LARGE ANTIQUE ILLUMINATED 2 SIDED CLOCK
A perfect clock if you've got the space to hang it. As it is 2 sided
it would look great in a covered arcade or a room with very high
ceilings. The dial lights up and the clock is powered by two
electric motors. The space at the top and bottom is ideal for
advertising as shown by the wording 'Clock House' where
presumably it must have originally hung. It is fully working but
needs to be certified by a qualified electrician before installion.

GERMAN INDUSTRIAL WALL CLOCK
This is an iconic industrial wall clock from the late 1960's. Many of the German clocks of this period used the baton numerals designed by Hans Hilfiker for the Swiss Federal railway clocks back in the 1940's. He in turn was influenced by the Bahaus movement. The size plus the colour of the case and the hands against the black and white dial will draw your eye to this clock in any setting.
Originally electric it is now fitted with a modern quartz movement adapted to fit the original hands.

INDUSTRIAL CLOCK
Here is a chunky no nonsense industrial clock probably from the 1930's judging by the style of hands and domino piece numerals which stand proud of the dial itself.
The old de-funct electric movement has been replaced with a precision quartz fitted to the distinctive hands. The cast iron case has a profile like a picture frame and its depth gives it a dramatic appearance on the wall. Its size and weight will require a strong screw fixing !
We have never had another one of this type and presume it is a German factory clock as indicated by the old electrics.
